Ms. Waldorf

Blair’s style is very classic, preppy, and polished. She always looks as if she stepped out of a department store window; her outfit is flawless, and she never has a hair out of place. Blair’s fashion sense is definitely the quintessential upper-east-side stereotype, and she’s not ashamed of it!
Blair would never step outside with unwashed hair, wear an outfit that didn’t match, or buy anything “distressed” or “boho chic.”  That said, here are some of Blair’s signature looks, pieces you can almost always catch Ms. Waldorf wearing around the streets of Manhattan.

In her hand, Blair has a long purple clutch. I know that red and purple can look fun together, but DEAR GOD why did she have this purple clutch? It should be black or oh God, any other color. I’d take blue or yellow or anything else. I think the problem is that it’s not even purple. It’s a magenta – not quite a pink. It just clashes. I refused to do purple, and gave you a cool red clutch instead. (She’s also wearing flip flops. Since I haven’t seen the episode when I’m writing this, I have no clue if there’s a storyline plot that tells us why she’s dressed so oddly. If we never see her feet, maybe that’s why Leighton is wearing just black flip flops. Makes for a seriously odd photo, though!) So, let’s dress like Blair Waldorf for less! And step 1 for how to dress like Blair Waldorf for less? Just have a GOOD EYE For what looks expensive, even when it isn’t. Look for what’s on sale and you can find great stuff for less.

Go Parisian with Blair Waldorf’s (Leighton Meester) style choice for her trip. Here, we see her wearing a white dress with large black (or are they navy?) polka dots. The dress I found (for less) has a romantic edge to it because doesn’t just cling to the body, it has ruffles and layers. You might also consider this Tahari Dress, this Polka Dot Puff Sleeve Top, or this Silk Blouse.

I’m not sure Blair would wear these heels if she knew they were by Steve Madden, but I loved the rich look they give, so I included them. The  Jessica McClintock purse I do like, although now I think that’s not the best picture of it. The sequins are more subtle. All in all, this harnesses Blair’s Gossip Girl fashion!
